Golfers Code of Etiquette & Golf Rules
It is expected in an adult community, that everyone knows how to act and react with common courtesy toward their fellow golfers, home owners and employees of the association. When tempers rise, people often forget their manners and it may result in making poor decisions.
We ask that the following etiquette be observed by everyone
1. Refrain from use of profanity, belittling of others and harassment.
2. Only smoking in areas marked as such.
3. Observing golf dress code.
4. Alcoholic beverages used in moderation.
5. Refrain from standing directly behind a player stroking the ball, moving or talking when players are ready to address the ball.
6. Keep the pace for play by replacing clubs to bad at next hole or next shot.
7. Invite faster groups to play through when appropriate, (one hole in front of you is empty).
8. Replace divots, spread sand and seed in areas where divots are made.
9. Smooth footprints out in sand traps and place rakes in proper place.
10. Try to avoid stepping in front or directly behind the person putting.
11. Replace the flagstick carefully in an upright position.
12. If you have any questions, ask your A or B player.
13. When someone is on the tee box, stand to the side of player nearest the red marker, or out of their vision of backswing.
14. Avoid talking when person is addressing the ball.
15. Carry an extra ball with you to tee boxes on water holes.
